I'm not a professional in this but my workaround when I had this problem was replacing forge gradle with anatawa12's fork. I think what happened was some urls changed in one of the forge updates and forge 1.7.10 wasn't considered in the change.

So I just got Minecraft back after reinstalling windows to my laptop. I am trying to get it set back up to where I had it and I installed Forge 1.7.10 because I have a lot of mods that require that version. I ran vanilla minecraft just to see if it worked and then I closed it and tried to run Minecraft with Forege 1.7.10 but it keeps getting stuck on 13 or 14 Mb to download and then it says "Failed to download file. 1.7.10.jar" and has the error message

Name: 1.7.10.jarURL: Error details: Request error -101: ERR_CONNECTION_RESETFilename on disk: 0fd2-05c7-7eb8-c6bePath: C:\Users\ethan\AppData\Local\Temp\0fd2-05c7-7eb8-c6beExists: file

Try downloading forge from here. _1.7.10.html Its the official forge website. Once downloaded launch it and select the "install client" opinion. When you get to Adfly make sure to click skip ad in the top right corner! If you download any of the links below the Skip Ad option you will likely get viruses, there are Youtube videos you can watch to make sure you do it right.

Guys you need to forget about minecraft forge 1.7 why not use 1.8 , your never going to get any lower forge version than 1.8! You guys should just stick to 1.8, there is other no way around! The Newest one works! Trust me i really had 1.8 , i did everything i could to get 1.7.10 and nothing worked! There is no way around this problem! Just stick to forge 1.8 or the new version you use!

But what are Sildur's shaders? Sildur's Shaders is an extension of the GLSL shader mod for Minecraft, now part of Optifine. Vibrant shaders completly revamps the lighting system of minecraft and adds advanced effects like volumetric lighting, bloom, ambient occlusion and reflections. While still maintaining high performance. Enhanced default does what the name indicates, instead of completly revamping the style of the game it maintains the vanilla look and adds shadows, reflections and even godrays. It's very lightweight and highly customizable, so even the worst potato is able to run it. Fabulous shaders is a shaderpack/resourcepack that uses mojangs inbuild shaders function and require the fabulous setting from 1.16+ to work. My shaderpacks are designed to work on all graphics cards and computers, including Macs, while still delivering a great graphical experience.

The 1.7.10 Pack brings what others failed to bring; what you've always wanted - and with the best collection of mods. The world is yours, and you can do whatever you want with it. If you want to explore the dimensions, building massive tech multi-blocks, or even performing magic: you can! And all that with optional quests that bring you even more goals. Playing with friends, or alone, it never gets boring.

The 1.7.10-1.0 version of Chocolate Quest has a known problem that causes crashes when you try to enter an End Portal and maybe at some other times as well. To fix it, open the .minecraft\config\Chocolate\DungeonConfig\caveTest.prop file and change it to say "chance = 0" save and close the file.

The 1.7.2 version is somewhat incomplete but still fun to play. 1.7.2 is not going to be updated and there is limited support. To fix a plains crashing bug with this version open your .minecraft/config/DungeonConfig/test.prop file and change it to say "chance = 0" Save and close the file.

Don?t you hate how long it takes to gather wood? With an axe and a will you can change all of that torture once you download this mod. Tree Capitator Mod adds one simple element to the game: axes cut down all wood touching the wood block you cut down. So, the next time you see one of those twenty block high monstrosities, you won?t think of how much work it?ll be, you?ll think of how much wood you?ll get. You can also mess around with the config file to change things like what?s considered a tree, how many leaves the trees need to be considered a tree, what an ax is, and whether or not you need an ax. So, with mods that add axes into minecraft like IndustrialCraft2, or mods that add in trees like Forestry, you can make sure that you?ll be able to use all of your ax items, and cut down all of your trees.

This is a tutorial for installing both the 1.7.10 and 1.16 versions of this mod and is written in order to be as approachable as possible for players who have never installed mods. It assumes that you know common terminology such as "browser" and "directory". Please read the directions for your section completely before you begin to follow them. This may prevent some mistakes.

The following is a tutorial on allocating memory for minecraft using the LOTR mod. Please note that allocating the recommended amount of memory will require a 64-bit version of java. Choose your launcher below.

Forge for 1.7.10 can be found here, while the version for 1.16 can be found here. Follow the following instructions in the "Download Recommended" box. If you are running Windows, click Windows Installer. If you are running Mac or Linux, choose the Installer option.

Note: The legacy mod must be run on Minecraft and Forge 1.7.10, while the Renewed mod must be run on Minecraft and Forge 1.16. Attempting to mix and match Minecraft, Forge, and mod versions will result in crashes.

Now open Minecraft launcher and run it in 1.7.10 to the title screen. You just need to have run vanilla Minecraft 1.7.10 at least once. Do this to be safe if you are not sure. Close minecraft. Navigate to your downloads folder. You should see the forge installer. Open it by double clicking, and it should say at the bottom "C:/Users//AppData/Roaming/.minecraft". Select download client (one of the little bubbles). Let it run. This may take a few minutes.

Now go to your home button and search %appdata% and press enter. Open the folder named Roaming and go to the .minecraft folder. Right click and make a new folder. Name it "mods", if one does not already exist. Running Forge once to your title screen will create the folder. Go to your download folder and copy and paste the "[1.7.10] The Lord of the Rings Mod Bxx.jar" file of the mod into your mods folder.

Now go to your home button and search %appdata% and press enter. Open the folder named Roaming and go to the .minecraft folder. Right click and make a new folder. Name it "mods", if one does not already exist. Running Forge once to your title screen (as suggested above) will create the folder. Go to your download folder and copy and paste the "[1.7.10] The Lord of the Rings Mod Bxx.jar" file of the mod into your mods folder. Then go back to the launcher and enjoy.

The MultiMC launcher is one of the easiest methods to use. First, click 'Add Instance' in the top left corner. In the window that opens, scroll down to 1.7.10 and enter a name at the top, then press OK. Then select the new instance and click 'Launch'. MultiMC will then download the vanilla files and load the game. Once it has done this, close the game and return to the launcher. Click 'Edit Instance' and then in the new window click the 'Install Forge' button on the right-hand side. Select the recommended version in the window and click OK. Then click the 'Loader Mods' tab on the left of the instance window and then 'Add' in the top right. You can then navigate to the LotR mod .jar you downloaded and add it.

Now open Minecraft launcher and run it in 1.7.10 to the title screen. You just need to have run vanilla Minecraft 1.7.10 at least once. Do this to be safe if you are not sure. Close Minecraft. Navigate to your downloads folder. You should see the Forge installer jar file. Open it by double clicking, and select install client (one of the little bubbles). Let it run. This may take a few minutes.

Now go to Finder. Go up to your toolbar at the top of your screen, and select "Go." The dropdown should contain a "Go To Folder" button. Click this. On your Finder window, a box will be at the top. Type in the box "/Library". Then find the folder "Application Support". Open that, and find "minecraft". Click on this folder. In this folder, there may or may not be a "mods" folder. If there is, awesome, if there is no, create one, with the same name, case-sensitive. Running Minecraft modded with forge will create this folder as well. Go to your downloads folder and copy and paste the [1.7.10] The Lord of the Rings Mod B... .jar file of the mod into your mods folder.
